Travis and other surrounding counties in Central Texas provide a wide variety of services and resources for those who are currently involved with the criminal justice system for alcohol and drug-related misdemeanors and felonies. Re-entry resources are for those who have been incarcerated and are looking to transition back into the community.

SMART is a community corrections-based substance abuse treatment and offender rehabilitation program for males and females on probation. Residential and Continuing Care services are offered. It is a specialized court-ordered treatment program designed to meet the needs of offenders and is operated by Travis County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) and funded by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Community Justice Assistance Division.

The Drug Diversion Court is a year long program for defendants who have been arrested with felony possession of controlled substance offenses. The SHORT Program Offers a broad array of treatment referrals, in-house alcohol and drug education classes, and dismisses drug charges when the client successfully completes the program.

Intensive 1 year rehabilitation program for repeat drug and DWI offenders offers counseling, outpatient treatment, and support groups. Limited availability. Offenders must qualify.
