A Virtual Nutcracker
The 58th Annual Celebration of Ballet Austin’s performance of the Nutcracker is a holiday favorite that can be enjoyed from the warmth and comfort of your own home this year. Grab a mug of hot chocolate and sit back and enjoy this interactive, multi-media experience from the most comfortable seat in the house, in your own living room. If you would normally purchase a ticket to watch this traditional ballet in person, now you can access on-demand viewing from December 12 through January 1. The digital film also includes bonus material such as cast and crew interviews and holiday recipes and decorating ideas.
Austin Trail of Lights
Another time-honored tradition among the holiday events in Austin can still be enjoyed safely this year. The 55th Annual Trail of Lights has returned as a drive-thru event, through January 3. Held in Zilker Park, the Austin Trail of Lights is a celebration of community, memories, and fun. The Magic of Peppermint Parkway
Through December 27, you can enjoy a magical drive-thru experience at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas. Peppermint Parkway is a one-mile attraction that will immerse you in millions of holiday lights that are synchronized to lively and joyful holiday music. Along their way, they meet dancing elves and strolling entertainers, as they are transported from Candy Cane Lane to an Enchanted Forest.
Virtual Shopping at Blue Genie Art Bazaar

You can also choose to visit the stores in person, knowing that the bazaar is taking the necessary precautions, including requiring face masks and limiting the number of shoppers. It’s best to reserve a time for in-person shopping. Virtually, you can browse thousands of original works made by local artists for unique gifts. The bazaar is open through December 24.
